Marlin D. Slack  is a New York based American actor, singer, and television host originally from Hammond, Indiana. Known mostly as host of Set For Life, a weekly nationally syndicated television series, and for his stage apearences througout the country, Marlin has always had the desire and gift of inspiring and entertaining. As a tenor, trained in both classical and contemporary vocal styles, Marlin’s vocal influence started at a young age from gospel, R&B and musical theatre icons such as Heather Headley, Richard Smallwood, Mahalia Jackson, and Billy Porter, to name a few. From the time Marlins mother signed him up for his first lesson at just 7 years old Marlin has always felt at home in the world of live performance. Marlin received his BFA in musical theatre from Long Island University ‘17 and attended the Governor’s School for the Arts during his high school years. Currently Marlin is featured as Dr. Terry Dactyl in VStar Entertainments US tour of Dinosaur Time Trek

Marlin understands that it is his purpose to use his gift to make a difference in the world. As a proud life long member for the NAACP and Black Lives Matter activist, Marlin is committed to creating and collaborating on work that he is passionate about.
